What does Berth mean?

Number of Berths Refers to the number of persons with fixed beds. Where a Houseboat denoted 4/6 Berth, this means that there are 4 fixed beds, with an option of sleeping 2 other persons on fold-out style bedding. The same philosophy applies for 6/8 Berth and 8/10 Berth Houseboats
